Latfat, like many tumbltards, have the ipod phone that has been all the rage. So, we too know the pain of having to be on AT&T’s shitty network.
However, AT&T is not ”the world’s worst corporation.” Far from it, in fact.
We understand that hyperbole is very common on the Internet, but let’s put the fact that the call to your friend dropped the other day in perspective of the real world.
There is this company called Xe, formally known as Blackwater Worldwide. This company’s ultimate goal is probably to look like the evil, all consuming member of the military industrial complex featured as the ultimate villain in many Sci-Fi movies (see? Hyperbole! On the Internet!). In fact, the departed Washington Times (a conservative-as-you-get paper, which never had much bad to say about the widespread use of contracting in our current foreign conflicts) calls District 9’s MNU “a Blackwater-like organization of mercenaries and bureaucrats.”
Just recently, five Blackwater security guards were cleared of all charges in the killing of 17 Iraqi civilians in 2007. But, we guess that doesn’t really compare to visual voicemail not working in Times Square.
Pros: Maybe we’ve caught this one early enough that it won’t turn into another Comcast Must Die.
