Professor Gary Sick is a senior research scholar at SIPA’s Middle East Institute, and an adjunct professor of International and Public Affairs.

Professor Sick served on the National Security Council under Presidents Ford, Carter, and Reagan. He was the principal White House aide for Iran during the Iranian Revolution and the hostage crisis. Sick is a captain (ret.) in the U.S. Navy, with service in the Persian Gulf, North Africa, and the Mediterranean.

Depictions of mental illness through ages and more?

Is there a point to this tumblr? We aren’t really sure. It seems like another voyeuristic tumblr taking advantage of the weird or bizarre for cheap thrills.

It is really too bad that all the effort put into tumblrs like this one aren’t used for social activation and mobilization (look at us, nearly a week into 2010 and we’re sticking with our preachy New Year’s Goal).

Pros: We’re crying like a grown man over babies and chickens after just a few minutes with this thing.  But a link that pointed to the National Alliance on Mental Illness would go a long way.
