We went sledding for the first time in years on Saturday, and it was some of the most fun we’ve had in years, and we weren’t even drunk.
It was amazing to relieve a fantastic experience from our childhood, and it has gone amazingly unchanged since our childhood, because it’s hard to update twitter while riding down a snowy hill on a piece of plastic. There is something that the internet still hasn’t spoiled. Of course, this happened in D.C., so a cop could have shown up and pulled a gun on us at any point, and then the internet would have gone insane.
Thankfully, this hasn’t ruined Calvin and Hobbes for us… it just makes us pissed off.
Yes, we loved Calvin and Hobbes as a kid, somewhere our parents have a box of old books that contains more than one of our anthologies of Bill Waterson’s work, and look you can still read it online, at a place that pays somebody so that they can put these wonderful comics on the internet so that kids can still enjoy them.
This is very different from stealing works from across the internet, and posting them to tumblr with no rhyme or reason.
Pros: At least this one can’t get a book deal.
